Investigators have released the name of a motorcyclist who died Sunday when a sport utility vehicle pulled out of a gas station and into the motorcycle’s path in suburban West Palm Beach.

The driver of a motorcycle died Sunday night after crashing into a car in suburban West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash took place at Summit Boulevard and Congress Avenue around 6 p.m. Sunday, said a sheriff’s spokeswoman.

The motorcycle was traveling eastbound on summit and the car was pulling out of a gas station at Summit and Congress.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue personnel declared the motorcycle rider, later identified as Marlody Baker Campos Jr., 24, dead at the scene, police said.

Vehicle homicide investigators with the sheriff’s office were at the scene Sunday night investigating the crash.
