Three injured in Jefferson County vehicle accident

Three people were injured in a vehicle accident on Interstate 57 Friday morning in Jefferson County. A unknown Mount Vernon man's Chevy Suburban hit a tree after a school bus struck the rear of the SUV, which had stopped for construction. 
Three people were injured in a vehicle accident in Jefferson County. A school bus struck the rear of an SUV which had stopped for construction. The 50-year-old SUV driver, a 40-year-old female and a 14-year-old child were transported to a local hospital. Bus driver Kenneth G. Summers, 54, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Summers and the school bus passengers were uninjured.
