Kansas Highway Patrol troopers said the pilot of an ultralight plane was killed in a crash in Marion County today. The KHP identified the pilot as former Kansas Representative Donald Dahl.

Officials say the plane went down in a pond just before 1:45 p.m. about two miles south of Hillsboro.
Dahl, 69, was the only person on board.
The accident is under investigation.
