Investigators say Temple's car crossed the center line into the northbound lane and hit the truck head on. Trooper say Temple was unrestrained and suffered fatal injuries as a result.

Wednesday, 23-year-old Cody M. Temple, of McComb, Mississippi, was headed south on Louisiana Highway 67 as 39-year-old Richard Wright, of Wilson, Louisiana, was driving north in a garbage truck. Wright, who was properly restrained, was transported to Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary with minor injuries.
