Authorities in Baltimore County say a motorcycle driver from Pennsylvania is dead after a crash in Maryland.
Officials say the crash happened around 2 p.m. Saturday in the area of Old York Road and Lentz Road in Parkton. Authorities say an initial investigation found the motorcycle was driving eastbound on Old York Road when it struck the back of a 2014 Ford Escort that had stopped to make a left turn. The motorcycle then traveled onto westbound Old York Road and was struck by a 2014 Honda CR-V.
Monday morning, a motorcyclist lost his life when he collided with a trash truck in Thurmont, Md.
Maryland State Police say that a 2006 International trash truck was traveling from North Franklinville Road across the southbound lanes of Rt. 15. At the same time, a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle operated by 55-year-old James Bertram Boehner of Orrtanna, Pennsylvania, was traveling southbound on Rt. 15.
Boehner then struck the rear driver's side of the trash truck.
Police in Baltimore County are looking for the driver of a white truck they say struck and killed a man in a hit-and-run.
Police say the hit-and-run happened in the early morning hours of Saturday at North Point Road and Charlesmont Road. Police identified the deceased man as 43-year-old Rommy Parsley of no fixed address. Police say the vehicle that hit Parsley did not remain at the scene.
A Temple Hills woman died Friday morning after a Maryland State Police cadet crashed into her car on the Capital Beltway, authorities said.
Karen Holt-Williams, 59, was driving an SUV on Interstate 495 just north of U.S. Route 50 in Maryland when a cadet driving an unmarked car lost control of his vehicle, police said.
About 8:30 a.m., Cadet Sebastian L. Reyes, 18, was on the inner loop of I-495 and used a crossover lane for emergency vehicles to get on the outer loop and travel in the opposite direction, police said.
Prince George's County police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle in Upper Marlboro.
Police identified the victim Sunday as 34-year-old Jeffrey Shackelford of Upper Marlboro. Police say he was critically injured Saturday night along John Rodgers Boulevard when his motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree.
Investigators are looking at whether speed was a factor in the crash.
A 54-year-old man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding struck a road median in Annapolis early Saturday, police said.
Just after midnight Saturday, Forrest Andrew Williams of Annapolis was driving on Green Holly Drive near Seabright Drive when he lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown from his bike, police said.

My Yuen Nguyen, 18, of Bear, Del., was in the front passenger seat of a Ford F-250 pick-up truck that hit a utility pole, ejecting her from the vehicle, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Cristie Kahler said.
Ms. Nguyen and three other young people had been visiting the park's Kilgore Falls area, Kahler said.
