Five elementary school students were hospitalized after one school bus rear-ended another in Washtenaw County this morning.
Five elementary school students were hospitalized after one school bus rear-ended another in Washtenaw County this morning. The Lincoln Consolidated Schools buses crashed at Whittaker and Bemis roads in Augusta Township about 8:42 a.m., according to a spokesman for the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office. Police did not know how many students were on the buses. There were a number of minor injuries, including bloody noses, but the five students who were taken to either St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hospital in Ypsilanti or one of the University of Michigan hospitals in Ann Arbor complained of neck and back pain. It’s unclear why one bus rear-ended the other, and the sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate.
