Two people died and a third was hurt after two vehicles collided Friday afternoon on an Ottawa County road. The wreck happened around 1 p.m. on Apple Drive near State Road in Crockery Township, just west of Nunica. A couple were traveling west in a Honda CRV when the driver lost control of the vehicle, regained control, but lost it again. The vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound pickup truck hauling a trailer, police said. A husband and his wife, both in their 80s and from the Nunica area, were in the Honda. They died at the scene.
