One person was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash involving a car and an SUV. It happened around 4:15 p.m. at M-37 and 13 Mile Road in Sparta. A white car was headed west on 13 Mile when it started to turn south onto M-37 and collided with an SUV that was northbound on M-37, police on the scene said. The force of the crash spun the SUV around. The driver of the white car, later identified as Chelsea Traxler, 21, was pronounced dead on the scene. She was 22 weeks pregnant. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, authorities said, and alcohol is not considered a factor.
