A Franklin County man is dead after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash late Friday night.

A Franklin County man is dead after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash late Friday night.

Authorities said Bryce Frankenberg, 27, lost control of his SUV, the SUV rolled and then he was ejected from the vehicle. After being ejected, the SUV struck a tree and caught fire.

Frankenberg was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Whiskey Creek Road, just west of Cedar Lane.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.

Both people on the motorcycle were taken to Grant Medical center in life-threatening condition. The driver of the car was not injured in the crash. Sheriffs say it's unclear if drugs or alcohol are a factor in the crash and say they are continuing to investigate the crash.

Joseph Connolly, the driver of a pickup truck has been charged with vehicular homicide in the deaths of four teenage boys. The crash killed Sean Kenneally, Mitchell Kluesner, Nicholas Kramer and Bryce Wilwert. The 14-year-old boys were riding on a John Deere Gator, a four-wheeled utility vehicle often used on farms. Connolly didn't stop at a stop sign at an intersection, causing him to hit the ATV. Authorities have found that alcohol was involed.

One person was arrested after a multi-vehicle wreck shut down Interstate 270 for several hours in north St. Louis County late Tuesday night.

The wreck happened on I-270 at Route 370 in Bridgeton around 11:45 p.m.

According to police, Javier Hernandez was driving eastbound when he lost control of his 2001 Grand Prix and struck a 2000 Ford Explorer, causing it to roll over.
Hernandez was taken into custody and later charged with driving while intoxicated and 2nd-degree felony assault.

The driver of the Explorer suffered minor injuries.

The man who was killed in a Friday crash on U.S. 30 near Astoria has been identified as Bryce William Saranpaa, 43, of Warrenton.

Oregon State Police said the crash occurred just before 7 p.m. after a westbound 1999 Toyota Tacoma crossed the centerline on U.S. 30 and sideswiped an eastbound 1993 Ford pickup truck.

The Toyota driver, 38-year-old Michelle Lynn Fletcher, was flown to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center with serious injuries. One passenger, Arthur Romine Jr., did not suffer injuries.

A man was killed and a woman hospitalized after the vehicle they were in struck a guardrail on Interstate 55 in south St. Louis late Tuesday night.

According to authorities, a vehicle was traveling on westbound Interstate 44 around 11 p.m. when it struck a median while trying to cross onto I-55.

The vehicle spun out of control and went over the median, facing north in the southbound lanes. It then slid into the right side curb of southbound I-55, hitting a guard rail on the driver side.
