The accident happened about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Madison Weeks was a passenger in a car being driven by her mother, 31-year-old Lori Weeks of Strafford.

Lori Weeks lost control of the car and skidded into oncoming westbound traffic, crashing into another car.

Police said Madison was taken to Maine Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, but authorities said slick road conditions likely played a role.

I am so sad as righting this I am crying I and going in to 5th grade I go to school with her when I was sad there she was giving me a hug thanks Maddy

I know Madison and Lori after this car crash we hoped and prayed that Madison and Lori would be safe at home but then to hear that the loving caring sweet amazing girl Madison had passed I stopped breathing I could not think and it seemed like everything would take a turn to the worse but over time it got better we all are still devastated with Madison passing.

A 78-year-old man reportedly suffered severe symptoms from a medical condition while driving on U.S. 52 in Rochester on Monday, causing him to crash into a median wall.

Duwane Kramer, of Rochester, was northbound when he "suffered a medical condition" and veered off the highway near Civic Center Drive Northwest, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.

Kramer died at the scene.

The crash was reported at 5:45 p.m.

Rochester firefighters and police, Olmsted County sheriff's deputies and a Gold Cross Ambulance crew responded to the crash.

New Hampshire State Police say a 74-year-old man has suffered life-threatening injuries in a pickup truck crash on State Route 16 near Milton.

Robert Davis of Wolfeboro was heading southbound on Route 16 at about 8 a.m. Friday when he lost control of his truck, which struck a guardrail and rolled over.

Davis was eventually taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland. A hospital spokeswoman said Friday afternoon he had just been admitted; a condition report wasn’t immediately available.

Theresa Brooks of Templeton was killed in a two-car crash Thursday night on Route 202 in Pelham. Brooks and two other people involved in the crash were rushed to Baystate Medical Center. Another man from Raynham man was not injured.

Authorities have identified the man killed in a Peterborough crash as 51-year-old Michael Dugrenier.

Dugrenier, of Peterborough, was walking on Route 202 Friday night when police say he was hit by a vehicle.

The driver, Paul Blais, is from Concord. No charges have been filed in the case; investigators are still trying to figure out what led up to the crash.

A Friday morning crash in Rochester involving an oil truck is under investigation, after one of the drivers was transported to the hospital.

Police said Dana Ferguson, 45, was backing his Kenworth oil truck into a driveway to make a delivery when it was struck in the bumper.

According to officials, Jared Dixon, 23, was driving his 2002 Hyundai Elantra north on Chestnut Hill Road when he struck the oil truck.

Dixon was transported by Frisbie Memorial EMS for non-life-threatening injuries, and his vehicle was towed due to extensive damage.

7-year-old girl was killed and her mother was seriously injured Tuesday when an out of control sports utility vehicle hit the two on a Dorchester sidewalk, Boston police said.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Olivia Mora, of Concord, N.H., will face charges of motor vehicle homicide and driving under the influence, police said.

The incident happened on Olney Street about 2:15 p.m., as the girl and her mother were walking from the Holland Elementary School, just a block away, according to police.

State police say a motorcycle driver has been charged with riding drunk and manslaughter after a crash that killed his passenger.

They say Dennis Conklin of Williamson has been charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated following an investigation of the wreck that left 46-year-old Mary Nolan of Rochester dead.

Troopers say Conklin was weaving through traffic at high speed when he crashed around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 590 in Rochester.

Nolan as thrown from the bike and Conklin was injured.
