Woman, 63, struck by car dies

Cops said a 29-year-old man driving a 2013 Ford Fiesta south on Coney Island Ave. clipped a 44-year-old woman driving a 2009 Mitsubishi SUV east on Avenue N at the intersection. The impact sent both cars into a deadly spin.

A 63-year-old woman died Saturday after she was struck by a car involved in a multiple vehicle crash in Brooklyn, officials said.
Galina Truglio, 63, of Midwood was killed in part of a chain-reaction accident involving three cars at the intersection of Coney Island Ave. and Avenue N in Midwood at about 12:30 p.m., police said.
Cops said a 29-year-old man driving a 2013 Ford Fiesta south on Coney Island Ave. clipped a 44-year-old woman driving a 2009 Mitsubishi SUV east on Avenue N at the intersection. The impact sent both cars into a deadly spin.
Truglio was struck by the out-of-control Ford Fiesta as she crossed Avenue N in the crosswalk, police said.
The two cars then slammed into a 2009 Nissan Murano waiting at a stop light on Coney Island Ave. before all three cars came to a stop.
