A 19-year-old man was killed in a crash Monday night near a Triad wastewater treatment plant.
Aaron Scott Bean of Thomasville died in the crash around 8:50 p.m. on Baptist Childrens Home Road in front of the city's wastewater treatment plant.
Bean was going south on Baptist Childrens Home Road when his 1996 Honda Civic went off the road, spun sideways and hit a utility pole, Thomasville police said. The car then went airborne and rolled, police said.
Bean was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thomasville police are still investigating the crash. Police said they will likely issue a follow-up release within the next few weeks.
