Victim Identified In Fatal Bexley Crash.

Bexley police has identified the woman killed in a crash on East Broad Street Monday afternoon.

Bexley police has identified the woman killed in a crash on East Broad Street Monday afternoon.

According to police, Mary A. Caplinger, of Columbus, was driving her SUV eastbound on East Broad Street at Dawson Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. when her SUV was struck head-on by a van. The van, driven by Cheryl D. Smith, crossed left of center, striking the SUV, according to police.

Caplinger was transported to The Ohio State University Medical Center East where she was pronounced dead at 5:26 p.m.

Smith was transported to Grant Medical Center where she was treated and released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
