A 16-year-old is in trouble with the law after Upper Allen Township police in Cumberland County say the teen fled the scene of a crash and was driving under the influence.
A 16-year-old is in trouble with the law after Upper Allen Township police in Cumberland County say the teen fled the scene of a crash and was driving under the influence. Police responded to a hit-and-run crash around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 1700 block of North Meadow Drive. "The striking vehicle fled the scene and was located by police several blocks away. The 16 year old juvenile driver admitted to having been driving at a high rate of speed, causing the vehicle to strike a curb which caused property damage and disabling damage to the vehicle," a police news release states. The teenager displayed signs of "driving under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested at the scene," according to police. The 16-year-old faces several charges, which will be filed through the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation Department.
