A pedestrian who was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Monday has been identified as a 17-year-old Bristol Township girl.

Jessica Moscatel, a Bucks County Technical High School senior, died immediately after being hit by a six-car Acela train on tracks just north of the Croydon train station, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.

Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall has identified the individual involved in this morning’s auto accident in the 700 block of Hogestown Road in Mechanicsburg. Coroner Hall said Randall D McNatt, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene and it appeared that he may have suffered a medical event prior to losing control of his vehicle and impacting a tree. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Aug 18th.

A longtime West Goshen Township supervisor was killed Wednesday when he was hit by a pickup truck on his way out of a West Chester supermarket.

Robert White, 77, was struck as the driver backed up and hit both him and the front entrance to the ShopRite on West Chester Pike, said his wife of 52 years.

"I always yelled at him, 'Pay attention to your surroundings,' " Judith White said a few hours after the crash. "Maybe if he had looked up and seen her coming he could have jumped out of the way?"

A young girl was killed after she was struck by a car in Lehigh County Wednesday afternoon.

Police say 21-month-old Farrah Munoz was on the 4200 block of Mountain Road in Washington Township around 3:36 p.m. on Wednesday when she was struck by a car passing by.

The girl was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest where she was pronounced dead at 4:55 p.m. Investigators say she died from multiple blunt force injuries.

Investigators have not yet revealed whether the striking vehicle left the scene of the crash.

PHILADELPHIA Police Officer Seth Stellfox, 33, was always looking for an adventure.

The cross-country trip he took on his new Harley-Davidson Sportster during the last few weeks was all he had talked about for months, his mother, Jane Stellfox, 67, said yesterday.

He rode the motorcycle thousands of miles from his Philadelphia home to see sights in New Mexico, Texas, Colorado and throughout the Midwest, chronicling his trip in photos he posted on his Instagram page.

Northern York County Regional police were still investigating the circumstances of a fatal motorcycle crash in Manchester Township reported earlier this week.

Police were called to the intersection of Susquehanna Trail and Locust Lane at 6:51 p.m. Sunday where they found 57-year-old Gary Strausbaugh Jr., of York Haven, suffering for serious injuries after being thrown from his motorcycle, according to a department press release. Strausbaugh was rushed to the York Hospital where he was pronounced dead a few days later, at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

A 28-year-old Washington man lost control of an all-terrain vehicle Saturday morning and died after a crash in Buffalo Township, police said.

James Beatty Jr. crashed around 2 a.m. along State Route 221 near Pleasant Valley Road in Washington County.

Beatty lost control, went up an embankment and rolled over.

Route 30 was closed for several hours after a fatal crash early Friday morning in North Braddock.

A car went over a hillside and one person was ejected at about 2:30 a.m.

The Allegheny County medical examiner identified the victim as Bria Walker, 22, of Monroeville. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday afternoon.

The road was closed between Center Street and Electric Avenue while police investigated the crash.

The cause of the crash has not been determined yet.

Philadelphia Police have identified the South Philadelphia man who died after his SUV careened off a pier on Penn's Landing last evening.

Marc Oliverio, 25, was speeding his black 2011 Volkswagen Tiguan down an off-ramp on Chestnut Street around 6 p.m. on Monday when the car left the road, crossed a small grass patch, crashed through a metal fence and plunged into the Delaware River, police said.
