Northern York County Regional police were still investigating the circumstances of a fatal motorcycle crash in Manchester Township reported earlier this week. Police were called to the intersection of Susquehanna Trail and Locust Lane at 6:51 p.m. Sunday where they found 57-year-old Gary Strausbaugh Jr., of York Haven, suffering for serious injuries after being thrown from his motorcycle, according to a department press release. Strausbaugh was rushed to the York Hospital where he was pronounced dead a few days later, at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Two people are dead following a major crash at the Hellam Exit of Route 30 in York County. The crash happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday. It involved multiple vehicles on the westbound ramp of Route 30 at Frysville Road. Authorities tell News 8 that for an unknown reason, a construction van veered into the right westbound lane and rear-ended a pickup truck. Both vehicles lost control and the construction van, carrying the driver and three passengers, flipped several times and came to a halt on the shoulder along Route 30.

Police confirmed Wednesday evening that the man killed earlier in a crash off Route 30 in Manchester Township was a 31-year-old Dover Township resident. Brent Amspacher, of Oakland Road in Dover Township, was northbound on Toronita Street in a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant at approximately 3:26 p.m. when he made a left turn onto westbound Route 30/Arsenal Road, according to the Northern York County Regional Police Department. After making the turn, the Mitsubishi travelled another 100 yards before driving over a raised cement median.
