US 276

The fatal crash occurred at approximately 11:40 p.m. on US 276, just south of Travelers Rest, Keller. The moped driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he later died. The Ford driver was wearing a seat belt and is expected to fully recover.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a Nissan Altima was driving northbound on US 275 early Wednesday when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole. The driver, a 24-year-old Pickens man, was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
