Woman dies in car crash.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Florine Carter, 73, has died after a car crash in Greenville County on Monday afternoon.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Florine Carter, 73, has died after a car crash in Greenville County on Monday afternoon. Troopers say the crash happened around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Augusta Road and Chalmers Road. Troopers say a 16-year-old was driving a 2004 Mercedes on Chalmers Road and turned onto Augusta Road. They say Carter, in a 2009 Ford Focus, ignored a traffic sign and hit the turning car. Highway Patrol says the 16-year-old was not injured, but Carter was taken to the hospital and later died from her injuries. Troopers say she was not wearing a seat belt. She was from Greenville. The coroner is waiting for autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
