15-year-old boy killed, 14-year-old girl, who was driving, seriously injured, taken to hospital, after the car they were joyriding in goes out of control on White Oak Orchard Street in Conroe, and crashes into a tree.

A teenage boy died and a teen girl was injured in a traffic crash late Monday night near Conroe.

The wreck happened about 10 p.m. on White Oak Orchard near Hilltop Drive, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Troopers said one person was thrown from the car during the wreck.

The Montgomery County Police Reporter says in a story on its website that a 15-year-old boy died at the scene and a 14-year-old girl who was driving the car was injured. She was rushed to Conroe Regional Hospital.

The girl apparently lost control of the car and slammed into a tree. She had taken her parents' car without permission.
