A suspected drunken driver was arrested after a 45-year-old man died in a traffic crash early Thursday morning in northeast Houston.
A suspected drunken driver was arrested after a 45-year-old man died in a traffic crash early Thursday morning in northeast Houston. The two-vehicle wreck happened about 2 a.m. in the 600 block of Maxey at Wood Bayou, according to the Houston Police Department. Police said the killed driver was in a green Nissan Altima southbound on Maxey when he collided with a northbound, white Ford F-150 pickup. The pickup driver, police added, was turning left onto Wood Bayou but failed to yield the right-of-way to the Nissan. The victim, whose name has not been released, died at the scene. The pickup driver was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital. The 28-year-old had non life-threatening injuries. Police said he was arrested and a charge of intoxication manslaughter is pending.
