A witness followed the driver and called police. The driver said he remembered a construction worker signaling him to stop, but his foot slipped off the brake and he kept driving. He said he did not realize he hit Boyce.

Brian Boyce is now in the hospital with significant injuries, but is in stable condition. Police believe that the truck driver did not realize he had ran into Boyce.
