Hopefully you don't have to drive anywhere this Thanksgiving
Is it too late to cancel your travel plans?
Thanksgiving is the most-traveled holiday in the United States, and this year the number of people traveling for their turkey dinner is expected to top 48 million. Thanks to low fuel prices, more Americans are hitting the road than any year since 2007.
This trend is in keeping with higher rates of road travel throughout the year, which is is of course tied to higher rates of death and injury throughout the year. So tomorrow we can probably expect to hear reports of the Deadliest Thanksgiving in a Decade. If you survive, good luck not getting trampled at Walmart.
My safety advice? Stay home, send your travel money to somebody who needs it more, eat leftovers, and shop online. If you need more inspiration to cancel your holiday travel plans, check out this video of gridlock in Los Angeles.

If this doesn't discourage you, take inventory of the political beliefs of your least-favorite relatives. Happy Thanksgiving!
