Mason County Prosecutor's Office

The prosecuting attorney is the lawyer for the people of Mason County. The main responsibility of the prosecutor is to enforce criminal laws and work for the victims of crime. This includes ordering restitution for the victim, informing the victim of court dates, and acting as an advocate for the victim at trial and sentencing.

Lincoln County Prosecutor

The prosecuting attorney is the lawyer for the people of Lincoln County. One responsibility of the prosecutor is to enforce criminal laws and work for the victims of crime to obtain restitution for losses and state benefits. The prosecuting attorney also serves as the legal advisor to the Board of County Commissioners and to the county’s elected officials and departments, provides legal guidance and opinions regarding federal, state and local laws, works closely with law enforcement agencies, such as the Sheriff, city Police and the Washington State Patrol and provides legal advice to law enforcement.

Lewis County Prosecutor

The Prosecuting Attorney is the chief legal officer for Lewis County. The primary mission of a Prosecuting Attorney is to enforce criminal laws and work for the victims of crime. This includes obtaining orders for restitution for the victim, informing the victim of court dates, and acting as an advocate for the victim at trial and sentencing. The Prosecuting Attorney also acts as legal counsel to the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners and county departments, assists in certain child support cases, and performs a number of other statutory duties.

Klickitat County Prosecutor

In criminal matters, the Klickitat County Prosecutor represent the interests of the people of the State by ensuring that offenders within the county are timely charged with crimes that accurately reflect the offending conduct, and further, by taking all steps necessary to ensure that the conduct is appropriately punished. They prosecute cases in the Superior Court located in Goldendale, and the two District Courts located in Goldendale and White Salmon. They determine what charge to file, when and where to file it, how best to obtain a conviction, and they recommend a punishment if the offender is convicted. In their civil division, they act as the law firm representing the County and its agencies.

Island County Prosecuting Attorney

The mission of the Island County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is to meet our statutory and constitutional duties to the citizens of Island County and the State of Washington; to vigorously, justly, and efficiently prosecute those who commit crimes in Island County; to provide excellent legal advice and services to the governing bodies and elected officials of Island County; to be effective advocates for the continuous improvement of the justice system; and to set the standard for the highest level of professionalism and ethics for the practice of law in Island County.

Grant County Prosecuting Attorney

Their mission is to serve the citizens of Grant County by providing the fair and impartial administration of justice, while adhering to the highest ethical standards of the legal profession while discharging otheir responsibilities. These responsibilities include: Protecting the public by responsibly prosecuting violations of the law; Assisting and advocating the rights of crime victims; Promoting professionalism within the criminal justice system; Impartially advising the Board of County Commissioners and the elected and appointed officials of Grant County; Effectively and ethically prosecuting and defending all civil actions to which Grant County may be a party; Remaining accountable to the citizens of Grant County by using public funds as efficiently as possible and operating in a fiscally responsible manner.

Franklin County Office of Public Defense

The Mission of the Benton & Franklin Counties Office of Public Defense is to provide quality, cost-effective, legal representation to indigent and other qualified persons charged with criminal offenses, or otherwise facing incarceration or loss of liberty interest, so as to protect their Constitutional and other legal rights, educate them about the criminal justice system, and champion the interests of justice. 

Douglas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office

The Prosecuting Attorney brings civil cases on behalf of the county and defends lawsuits against the county. The Prosecuting Attorney works closely with law enforcement agencies, such as the Sheriff, city Police and the Washington State Patrol and provides legal advice to law enforcement. Law enforcement agencies send criminal cases to the Prosecuting Attorney for review and the Prosecuting Attorney determines if criminal charges should be filed.

Cowlitz County Prosecuting Attorney

This office prosecutes all felonies in the County, and misdemeanors that occur outside city limits in the unincorporated area of the County or that are violations of state law but not municipal code, including every type of criminal case.  It represents the interests of the people of the State by ensuring that offenders within the county are charged with crimes that accurately reflect the offending conduct, and further, by taking all steps necessary to ensure that the conduct is appropriately punished. It determines what charge to file, when and where to file it, and how best to proceed with it.  It recommends a punishment if the offender is convicted and also handles all appeals from those convictions.  

Columbia County Prosecuting Attorney's Office

The Columbia County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office represents the state, the county and the city of Dayton in criminal matters in Columbia County District and Superior Courts, Dayton Municipal Court, the state and federal courts of appeal and the Washington and U.S. Supreme Courts.  The County Prosecutor is responsible for prosecuting all felonies and misdemeanors in Columbia County, including those committed in Dayton and Starbuck.

Clark County Public Defender's Office

Clark County’s Indigent Defense Office provides the courts with attorneys to represent indigent persons in specific types of state and county cases -- primarily criminal, probation violation, juvenile offender, mental commitment and CHILD REPRESENTATION ONLY in dependency (abuse & neglect) cases.

Chelan County Prosecuting Attorney

The Criminal Division of the Chelan County Prosecuting Attorney's Office prosecutes criminal actions (felony, gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor) referred by law enforcement for Chelan County and for the State of Washington in the Chelan County Superior Court, Juvenile Court, District Court, the Washington State Court of Appeals, and the Washington State Supreme Court.
