GA man killed in head-on collision; 2 hospitalized

ALEA State Troopers identified the deceased as James Column Thompson, a 28-year-old from Stone Mountain, GA. The 2009 Hyndai Accent he was driving collided head-on with a 2009 Nissan Rogue. His passenger, 39-year-old Lance Hagan, of Anniston, was transported to Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Rogue, 23-year-old Daniel Wayne Studdard, of Piedmont, was airlifted to UAB Hospital.  

Georgia man killed, 2 injured in east Alabama wreck

James Column Thompson, 28, of Stone Mountain, was killed in the wreck, which happened at 12:13 p.m. Saturday along Alabama Highway 9 about four miles north of Oxford, according to Alabama State Trooper Chuck Daniel.
