Birmingham police said the suspects were in the victim's stolen truck. The suspects crashed the pickup truck into a tree on Dorothy Drive near Cooper Green Park in the Powderly community, and were then taken into custody.

Detectives from Birmingham police arrested and charged the two suspect in connection with a homicide investigation of the shooting occurred Wednesday in the 1500 block of Lomb Ave. The victim was identified as James Bennefield, 46, of Cullman.
