Pleasant Grove man killed in fatal Vestavia Hills wreck

A Pleasant Grove man was killed in a fatal wreck Tuesday night in Vestavia Hills, according to authorities. The Jefferson County Coroner’s office confirmed that 59-year-old Charles Wayne Garmon was killed in a single-vehicle wreck Tuesday night as he drove an AT&T work truck on I-65 northbound at Highway 31. The truck went off the road and into some trees, the coroner said. Garmon was pronounced dead at the scene.
