Two vehicle crash kills woman on Christmas Day on Highway 280

Debra Childs Hammock, 54, was killed when the 2013 Toyota Corolla that she was driving was struck by a 2000 Chevrolet K1500 at the intersection of Highway U.S. 280 and Alabama 147, near Auburn, Ala.

Waverly woman dies after striking pickup truck in Lee Co.

Susan Hammock, 52, apparently turned in front of a pickup truck towing a boat and struck the passenger side of her vehicle.

Three crashes in Lee County leave three dead, including 7-year-old, on Christmas day

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:33 p.m. Hammock's three-year-old grandson was in a car seat in the back of the car, and was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. The child was later released without any injuries.
