Car wreck claims the life of Anderson teen

A single-car wreck claimed the life of an 18-year-old Saturday. State Trooper Curtis Summerville said that 18-year-old Trevor Ivon Starbuck was killed when the truck he was traveling in left the roadway and hit a tree. Trooper Summerville said that at 5:20 p.m., a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck left the roadway on Alabama 99, just four miles north of Salem, and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup, 66-year-old Jerry H. Tomlin, was not injured.

18-year-old Lauderdale County man killed in crash

An 18-year-old Lauderdale County man was killed Saturday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Lee County. Trevor Ivon Starbuck of Anderson was a passenger in a 2004 Chevy pickup that left the roadway on Alabama 99, about four miles north of Salem, and struck a tree, Trooper Curtis Summerville reported Sunday. Starbuck, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
