Friday Posted: Updated: A crash killed one and injured four others in Lamar County around 3:40 p.m. The driver of the Nissan Altima, Chasta Amber Cooper, 38 of Hamilton, was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. The crash occurred on Lamar County 38, one mile southwest of Detroit. Gill, as well as a 10-year-old passenger and an 11-year old passenger, were airlifted to UAB Hospital and Children's Hospital of Birmingham. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
