Police identify suspect in McKee Rd. hit-and-run

Officials in Madison County said they have taken a suspect into custody after a Saturday night hit-and-run which left a man in serious condition.

Jason Roland Ward, 36, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury and third-degree theft. It is unclear what the theft charge stems from. 

A motorcyclist was driving in the area of Highway 53 and McKee Road at around 8 p.m. when they were struck by an SUV. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Police say they have arrested a suspect, Jason Roland Ward, 36. He was transported to Madison County Jail where his bond was set to $15,000.
