Silas man killed after crashing into a tree in Choctaw County

A 26-year-old Silas man died late Monday after he drifted off a roadway while driving and struck a tree in Choctaw County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Bobby Malcolm Jamaal Lewis was driving on U.S. Highway 84 around 11 p.m. when he lost control of his car and it left the roadway, striking a tree. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time. State Troopers pronounced him dead at the scene.
