Man arrested, charged with leaving child in hot vehicle for at least 30-45 minutes

The Fairhope Police Department has arrested a man after he allegedly left a child inside a vehicle with no air and the windows rolled up. Authorities said after an investigation, it was determined the child was in the vehicle for 30-45 minutes, or possible longer. She said the child appeared to be disoriented and was having a hard time following instructions on how to unlock the vehicle. Officials asked him how long he had left the child in the vehicle, to which he responded, "Not more than five minutes." Once officers got to the scene, they observed the child still appeared to be disoriented and that his skin was hot to the touch.
