David Justin Todd, 40, arrested for hit-and-run death of Aubrey Coggins, 26, Gulf Shores, Alabama
Police Identify Suspect, Victim In Fatal Hit And Run In Gulf Shores
According to court records, Todd has pled guilty at least three previous times to charges of DUI. Gulf Shores Police say alcohol was a factor in this crash. Earlier it was reported Coggins had stopped on the bridge to help other drivers involved in an earlier accident after 9:30 Sunday night. Coggins was apparently trying to direct traffic when he was hit by the van.

It’s been two weeks since Coggin died and in another two weeks, on June 10th, friends are planning a poker run to raise money for Coggin’s fiance and 16-month-old little girl. Organizers say this is their chance to give back to a man they loved so much.
