Wilmer man struck by vehicle, killed, troopers say

A pedestrian was killed Saturday morning after he was struck by a tractor-trailer, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers. 
A pedestrian vs. tractor-trailer crash occurred at 4:50 a.m. on U.S. 98 west of Mobile. Wilbert Lee Moffett, 52, died when he was hit by a 2009 Kenworth driven by Lindsey Craig Stockdale, 67, of Mobile. Moffett was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Stockdale was not injured. The cause of the crash is not yet known.
