MPD identifies mother, child killed in crash on Moffett & Wolf Ridge Roads in Mobile

The UPS driver lost control, crossed over into the west bound lane and struck a Pontiac sedan travelling in the west bound left lane. A Ford F250 then struck the Pontiac from behind causing the Pontiac to collide with a Hyundai Sonata that was travelling west in the right lane.

The deceased driver and passenger of the Pontiac have been identified as 28-year-old Deidreana Ariel Jasper and her 1-year-old son Noah Isiah Brown.

“She always used to say to me like, ‘Anything ever happen to me, I know you got Noah,’ and just felt like in my heart he was fine, you know, he’s going to be okay, and I was going to be able to still have him because he part of her. When I look at his face I see her face.”

Vigil honors 28-year-old mother and one-year-old son killed in crash on Moffett Road

It was an emotional, but uplifting vigil. The family-focused on celebrating Ariel and Noah’s lives. Rather than asking the community to pray for them, the family came together asking for people to pray with them.
