The crash happened on Highway 29 at mile marker 167, which is near Green Hills Cemetery.

Carter was fatally injured when the 2007 Nissan Altima in which she was a passenger side-swiped a 2012 Ford driven by 23-year-old Tiffany Rena Hill of Troy, investigators say. The Altima then struck a 2005 Jeep Wrangler driven by 31-year-old Justin Tyler Jacobs of Rutledge.
