Prattville man charged with reckless murder in wreck that left 1 dead

A Prattville man is under arrest as a result of a two-vehicle wreck on Saturday that claimed the life of a Hueytown woman, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Dannette McKinney, 53, was killed when the 2016 Nissan Versa, in which she was a passenger, was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe at the intersection of Autauga County Road 40 and Autauga County Road 21 around 11:48 a.m. McKinney was pronounced dead at the scene. According to State Troopers, the driver of the Tahoe, 64-year-old Bob Curry of Prattville, was charged with reckless murder and felony leaving the scene of an accident. State Troopers say that preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol was a factor in the wreck.
