Motorcyclist killed in Midtown Anchorage crash

A 29-year-old man died early Friday after his motorcycle hit a car in Midtown Anchorage and then another motorcycle ran him over, according to the Anchorage Police Department. Policy say a Subaru Outback had stopped at a red light in the far right southbound lane of Minnesota Drive near the West Tudor Road intersection. "Just as the light turned to green, but before the Subaru had begun to move, it was struck from behind by a motorcycle driven by 29-year-old Carlos Chavesta," said a statement from Renee Oistad, police spokeswoman.
