Snow Canyon High Mourns Deaths Of Two Students

The first accident happened Saturday night just before midnight on a remote road in Arizona approximately 30 miles south of St. George. Brooks Johnson, 18, of Santa Clara, died when he was thrown from the Jeep he was traveling in as a passenger.
The normally festive ending to the school year is being dampened at Snow Canyon High School in St. George after two students died over the weekend in separate accidents. "They both were such good kids and did so much for our school," said Ellie Thorpe, a senior at Snow Canyon High School. The first accident happened Saturday night just before midnight on a remote road in Arizona approximately 30 miles south of St. George. Brooks Johnson, 18, of Santa Clara, died when he was thrown from the Jeep he was traveling in as a passenger. Johnson was a senior and was set to graduate on Wednesday. Investigators from Mohave County suspect that speed was a contributing factor in causing the Jeep Wrangler to roll but said the accident is still under investigation. Three others were injured in the accident: the driver, 20-year-old Connor Livingston of Ivins; 18-year-old passenger Brayden Oaks of Washington; and 20-year-old Jace William Graft of Ivins.
