Teen dies in crash at 51st Avenue, Bell Road in Phoenix
An 18-year-old man has died after a serious collision at 51st Avenue and Bell Road in Phoenix that shut down the intersection for several hours on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The 17-year-old passenger in the deceased driver's car is in stable condition at a hospital.
Just before 1 p.m. at 51st Avenue and Bell Road in north Phoenix, a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old was eastbound on Bell Road and attempting to turn left onto 51st Avenue when it crashed into a westbound vehicle driven by a 56-year-old woman. The 18-year-old driver died. The 17-year-old passenger was injured and is in stable condition; the driver of the other car was minorly injured. According to police, neither speed nor impairment are believed to be factors. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

I am saddened today to find
I am saddened today to find out that a friend of my Granddaughter was in a horrible accident yesterday that took his life. All I can think of today is his parents. Where we all are celebrating Christmas, they have to plan a funeral. God Bless this family - my prayers are with them.
