Witnesses said he swerved out of the left lane and across all lanes of traffic before the vehicle rolled.

It's not known what caused him to lose control of the vehicle.
On Friday morning, a vehicle rolled out of the westbound lanes of the freeway and struck a light pole before it landing on its roof on the I-10 freeway embankment near 51st Avenue. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in the vehicle. Check back for updates.

I was wondering if there was an update to this? Perhaps the driver's name?? This is so sad but i believe he may have been texting while driving.

Hi Nicole, I've been searching for more information on this crash but can find nothing yet. Often it can take a week or more for the coroner's office to release the identity of the deceased person. I'll keep trying though. Ingrid Taylor, Managing Editor, Accident Data Center
