An elderly woman died Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in Phoenix, according to police.
An elderly woman was crossing near 35th and Northern avenues midblock when she was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured. She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver stayed at the scene after the crash, and impairment is not believed to be a factor. The incident is still under investigation.
