PD: Pedestrian hit and killed dragged for several blocks
Officers say the victim was crossing the street at 51st Avenue & Osborn Road when the pickup hit him.
"After the collision, the driver failed to stop and fled the collision scene," Phoenix Police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune said.
The vehicle kept traveling to 54th Avenue before stopping, officers said.

Police arrested 35-year-old Elvin Vasquez Mejia, and he faces charges including leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death or injury and driving with a suspended license.
