Woman killed in hit-and-run near Prescott Country Club

Luggage belonging to the victim was found near her body and investigators say it appears she was heading to the Maverick Country Store on Highway 69 to catch shuttle transportation.

The body of a 70-year-old woman was found in the roadway near the Prescott Country Club, apparently struck by a vehicle. Authorities believe she was on her way to the Maverick Country Store on Highway 69 to catch shuttle transportation, based on the luggage she had with her.
