Two people were injured during a hit-and-run collision early Monday morning in Tempe that led to the arrest of one suspect, according to Tempe police.
Two people were injured during a hit-and-run collision early Monday morning in Tempe that led to the arrest of one suspect, according to Tempe police. Officers were called to the area near University Drive and Loop 101 shortly after 12:30 a.m. Monday after receiving reports that a pickup truck had collided with a Corvette, and that the truck’s driver had fled on foot, said a Tempe police spokeswoman. Investigators arrested 38-year-old Jose Arturo Soria-Gonazles nearby and he admitted to being involved in the collision and being intoxicated, police said. Tempe police arrested Soria-Gonzales on suspicion of DUI and of leaving the scene of a wreck, she said. The two people in the Corvette suffered minor injuries, police said.
