Andrea Denise Jefferson, 30, killed, after her car crosses into oncoming traffic on U.S. 49 near Paragould, and collides with another vehicle.

A Jonesboro woman was killed Monday after her vehicle collided with another vehicle on U.S. 49 in Greene County, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Andrea Denise Jefferson, 30, was driving north on the highway about 9:15 a.m. when her 2006 Chevrolet "crossed into the path" of a southbound 2012 Chevrolet. The report did not specify where on the highway the collision occurred.

Jefferson died from unspecified injuries. The other driver was unhurt.

Conditions at the time were described as clear and dry.

The death marked the 73rd fatality in a traffic crash in Arkansas so far this year.
