Crash injuries fatal to 86-year-old man

A Mountain Home man died Tuesday from injuries he received in an accident in late June, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Kenneth Schuning, 86, of Mountain Home, died Monday at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo., four days after he was involved in a serious accident on the Sheid-Hopper Bypass and Rossi Road.
Kenneth Schuning, 86, of Mountain Home, passed away on Monday, four days after he was involved in a serious accident on the Sheid-Hopper Bypass and Rossi Road. Schuning drove into the path of a van while attempting to cross the Sheid-Hopper Bypass south on Rossi Road. Jeffrey Krist, 44, the driver of the van, and his passenger, Kenneth Gerts, 50, received minor injuries and were transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center.
