Bicyclist, 63, killed in hit-and-run; driver sought

A 63-year-old Mountain Home man died after being thrown from a bicycle in a hit-and-run, according to the Baxter County sheriff's office. Baxter County Sheriff John F. Montgomery said the wife of Douglas A. Foreman reported about 3:51 a.m. Anyone with information regarding the driver of the vehicle who fled the scene of the crash is asked to call the Baxter County sheriff's office at (870) 424-4636. The bicycle was dragged along the roadway and into a ditch about 90 feet before it became loose from the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office. Tuesday that her husband was missing after he left their house in Mountain Home about 10 p.m.
