Two dead in head-on crash on Highway 99 north of Chico
Callahan said the driver of a white Saturn sedan was northbound on Highway 99 when he crossed the double-yellow lines and sideswiped a black Acura.
The Saturn returned to its lane and traveled for a distance before crossing back over the double-yellow lines and colliding head on with a southbound Chevrolet Sonic, which appeared to be a SolarCity car.

According to the CHP, the crash took place around 4:32 p.m. Tuesday. It started when a white Saturn went over the double yellow lines, side-swiped Bautista's car, before getting back into his own lane.
