Man killed in east Oroville crash is identified
The crash happened about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, when Whitley was westbound on Highway 162 in a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle and approaching the intersection with Kelly Ridge Road.
At the same time a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by Megan Page, 29, of Oroville was stopped at a traffic signal at the intersection waiting to make a left turn toward Kelly Ridge Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Megan Page, 29, appeared Wednesday in Butte County Superior Court and pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of vehicular manslaughter stemming from the Sept. 12 death of 52-year-old Harry Whitley of Oroville, according to the documents.
